Two Episodes in the Can!

I'm still in a daze from filming two episodes today but from what I've heard it went great. Our first guests were musician Laura Veirs and tea connoisseur Steven Smith. I couldn't ask for two nicer folks to have on our first episodes. Take a look at these amazing shots from photographer (and my pal) Daniel Stark:

Stay tuned for video footage coming soon. It's digitizing as I type!

P.S. I just wanted to give one more shout out to my pal Daniel Stark for taking these photos. Now you can go to his blog and check out all the other amazing photos he's taken.

Today's the Day!

The bike's all done and today's our first day of filming! Hooray!

A Few More Bolts to Go

I just came back from the Metrofiets workshop where they're attaching the (finally finished) desk to the bike frame. Check it out:

Just in time too since we'll be filming our first episodes on Tuesday. Stay tuned for photos from our first shoot!

Prepping for Filming

The last coat of marine gloss is drying today, but that's not stopping us from getting ready for our first shoot at the end of the month. I stopped by the workshop with cinematographer Patrick Neary, who's going to be filming the show so he could check out the desk and figure out the "look" of the show.  Patrick's shot everything from feature films to barbeque sauce commercials and I can't wait to see what he does with the Pedal Powered Talk Show. Just look at way he's inspecting that desk. He's clearly committed.

The Marine Gloss is Drying

The desk is constructed and we're waiting for a few more coats of gloss to dry. If we want this contraption to hold up in Oregon weather it needs to be pretty well sealed. Check out these photos of the drying in action:

It's so shiny!
